Hello! I am a 3D animator. I particularly enjoy creature animations as I can bring models to life and give them personalities. For my specialism module, I did work in rigging and, more recently, creature animation where I focused on creating realistic movements and behaviors. Therefore, I would love to start my career working in creative animation or rigging.

What was your inspiration for pursuing a career in Animation?

My interest in animation began when I discovered the behind the scenes of The Nightmare Before Christmas. I was inspired by the creative process and steps taken to create the movie, which led me to pursue a career in animation.

What hobbies do you have?

When I'm not working, I enjoy drawing, playing video games, modeling and painting miniature animals. I find it to be a relaxing and therapeutic activity when working on something so small! In addition, I also like spending time outside and painting watercolour flowers.

How would your peers describe you in 3 words?

Freindly, supportive and dedicated

Do you have any industry experience? If so, please give a concise explanation of the experience.

I haven't worked in the industry before, but I've attended talks and talked to Junior Animators and Riggers to understand their work experience. This I believe, has given me a good understanding of what to expect and the necessary skills for the job.

How would you describe your contribution to your group project?

In D.A.N.S, I was the Lead Animator and Rigger. I was responsible for ensuring that the quality of animation was consistent throughout the short film. I also helped the other animators with their work, such as filming additional references when it was needed. I also rigged the robot, where I had to make the joints move mechanically.

What lessons did you learn from undertaking your project that you'll take with you into your career?

Something that I have learnt during this project was working on a rig where the model might change after the rig has been done. When working on the robot rig, the shoulder and wrist joints changed, which proved a little challenging when trying to add to a rig that had been animated. This project helped me become better at fixing my problems and working out issues within a rig.

What would your ideal first role in the industry be?

Ideally, my first role in the industry would be that of a Junior Creature Animator. This role would provide me with the opportunity to enhance my skills and gain a better understanding of the workings of the industry.

What's an achievement from the past 3 years that you're proud of?

Last year, I helped write and direct a short film called "Squeaky Clean". It was my first group project, and I learned a lot about the process of making a short film. This project also really showed me the importance of good communication and being able to work well as a team. As the Director, I was responsible for leading the team. It was a great experience, and I felt proud when the film won a few awards. I couldn't have done it without the team's support and hard work.
