Hello! I am a 3D Rigging Artist who is always eager to learn and adapt to problems. My passion for rigging comes mainly from loving the process of creating rigs and animation tools. In addition, I have skills that I have picked up from team projects such as Modelling, Texturing and Lighting. After graduating, I would love to start my career as a Junior Rigging Artist and begin my first steps into the exciting animation industry.

What was your inspiration for pursuing a career in Animation?
I have always been interested in animation since I watched it while growing up, notably 'Avatar: Last Airbender' and 'Star Wars the Clone Wars'. I have always been creative and wanted to make a career in the creative industry, so it made sense to choose animation.
What hobbies do you have?
The gym has been an amazing anchor that keeps me steady and relieves stress in my day-to-day life. Another hobby is Games, they are a great pastime that keeps me in contact with my friends. Lastly, drawing is a skill I never want to get rusty at, so I practice every week to keep my skills up.
How would your peers describe you in 3 words?
Passionate, Motivated, Adaptable
Do you have any industry experience? If so, please give a concise explanation of the experience.
While I haven't had any experience in the industry, I have attended multiple workshops and talks from members of the industry which have provided, what I believe, is a good understanding of what the industry expects from me.
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
I have taken a management role, lighting and rendering roles which I'd say, besides producing, were my biggest contributions to the project as I was the only person on the team doing these roles (as well as modelling and texturing). Keeping the team organised in my producing role was key, and a takeaway I have with that is sometimes conflict and confrontation are ok, but must be handled professionally. In addition, it's important to make sure all team members are putting a similar amount of work into the projects.
I am quite flexible in adapting to different software such as Unreal, Maya and Substance Painter. In addition, I have done concept art for the sets and main story beats, and storyboarding, mainly filling in where necessary. An example of this is due to my background in illustration and graphic design I was in charge of making the posters for both 'Infestation' and the 'Samurai Project'.
What lessons did you learn from undertaking your project that you'll take with you into your career?
Keeping on task, being flexible and adapting schedules when the inevitable problems happen. These core lessons are something I will carry into future projects, as well as my career. A soft skill I have taken from this is that conflict and confrontation will happen and that is ok as long as it is handled in a professional manner.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
Jr Rigging Artist - I have made a Character Rig, a Vehicle Rig and a Mechanical Arm Rig. I would like to learn more advanced Rigging techniques and scripting in Maya. I have good problem-solving skills and can adapt to any work that I am given.
What's an achievement from the past 3 years that you're proud of?
Last summer, a friend and I took on creating a found footage horror short. While this project is still ongoing, my main achievement was creating my first rig, which was a Rover with a Drone and Drill attached to it. I did this using a mesh that my friend had modelled and textured. Along with this, it's a passion of mine to test my strength, benching 100kg and deadlifting 130kg.
