What was your inspiration for pursuing a career in Animation?
My biggest inspiration is Alberto Mielgo's work
What hobbies do you have?
Swimming, Skiing & Padel
How would your peers describe you in 3 words?
Creative, Strong minded & Problem solver
Do you have any industry experience? If so, please give a concise explanation of the experience.
Whilst I haven't had experience in the Professional film Industry, I created Satory Studios, a 3D Animation company focused on advertisement. I even got to hire several classmates throughout my journey at Escape Studios. I also directed several shorts for the NHS during the pandemic. I have attended several animation and film workshops at Bafta London, and festivals like The Cannes Film Festival 2022.
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
In the VOID project, my role was to be the Lead Lighting Artist, for that I explored different looks during the colour script phase, and I explored different lighting setups to have lighting support the storytelling instead of working against it.
What lessons did you learn from undertaking your project that you'll take with you into your career?
One of the lessons I will always carry with me is that the creative industries are not a stable journey. I learned to practice how I could bring animations into other industries like advertisement and music. In the advertisement industry, I created projects for different companies and the music industry, I curated 3D models and renders for DJs to use for their visuals. This allowed me to learn other software and also to know that if the film industry has a low season I can always learn and create for other industries until a new journey of creating movies starts for me.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
I would ideally love to start as a runner and I will explain why; if I were to start as an animator or as a lighting or texture artist assistant, I would only learn from one part of the project, but as a runner, I would be able to access different departments and better analyze the synergy between departments.
What's an achievement from the past 3 years that you're proud of?
2 years ago, I left my job as a waiter at Annabel's, a members club in London, to start my journey in my animation studio. Satory Studios was then founded and I wouldn't change that journey for anything, from networking to get clients, to client management, to hiring my classmates and helping them develop their skills, to seeing final products that came from nothing, that was indeed my best experience.
