As a 3D Prop and Environment artist, I possess valuable experience in modelling realistic hard-surface and organic assets for projects in studio settings, employing industry-standard workflows. What has always captivated me in video games is the immersive nature of their intricately designed worlds and the stories they portray. I am excited to continue expanding and refining my skills further, with the goal of someday contributing to the production of an amazing and influential game that inspires and uplifts others.

What was your inspiration for pursuing a career in Game Art?
My introduction to video games began with my very first console; a pink Nintendo DS Lite that I received for my birthday. Since then, I've always gravitated towards games that offer comfort through peaceful tasks or engage with thrilling, fun stories featuring lovable characters. What I appreciate most are games that strike a chord emotionally, whether through storytelling or captivating visuals. I want to help contribute to the creation of a video game with such powerful influence like those I have played - that was my first thought when I first came across the Game Art course at Escape Studios.
What hobbies do you have?
In my free time, I love reading fiction, doodling in my sketchbooks, caring for my succulents, and trying to play my electric guitar - (still a beginner!). I enjoy playing video games on my handheld consoles on-the-go. Lately, I've gotten back into baking – matcha is my go-to ingredient! Also, I'm into discovering and listening to new music, especially alternative rock.
How would your peers describe you in 3 words?
Well-Rounded, Meticulous, Dynamic
Do you have any industry experience? If so, please give a concise explanation of the experience.
Although I have not directly gained experience working within the industry, I have worked in industry-standard settings, diligently following the expected workflow during my projects. Additionally, I have attended seminars and talks led by current industry members. These experiences have provided me with an intuitive insight into how existing members of the industry operate and what they expect from us as junior entrants.
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
During my time on Echoes of The Samurai, I held the role of Prop Artist. I diligently focused on the evolving art-style outlined in our project's art bible, collaborating closely with our Lead Prop Artist and Art Director. This ensured that my work aligned seamlessly with their vision and met the high standards set for our project, drawing inspiration from other games with similar themes such as 'Ghost of Tsushima'.
What lessons did you learn from undertaking your project that you'll take with you into your career?
I believe that regardless of how "harsh" feedback may initially seem, it's crucial to strive to extract something positive from it rather than dwelling on past mistakes. I am constantly evolving as an artist, and every piece of artwork I approach tomorrow will inevitably surpass yesterday's, as I acquire valuable insight from both myself and my peers with each new project.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
Initially, I'm open to any role within Props and Environment, as I'm still a junior and eager to explore different specialties within the industry to continue growing. Before settling on a definitive and ideal role in my career, I want to continue to grow and learn. Currently, I have a particular interest in foliage art, although I haven't delved deeply into it yet. I aim to focus more on creating foliage assets in the future to broaden my skillset. Moreover, I find it appealing as I personally enjoy caring for plants.
What's an achievement from the past 3 years that you're proud of?
Last year, our team's submission for the A Plague Tale: Requiem Fan DLC project earned us the Draft Selection Award from The Rookies. As a Game Artist, this was a standout achievement and I was thrilled to share the recognition with my talented teammates for our contribution to this project.
