I've always been fascinated by how video games can transport you to a world where you can do whatever and be whoever you want to be and I felt drawn to being a part of the magic that makes it happen. I'm eager to someday join a studio of talented artists as a hard surface prop artist while continuing to expand my skills.

The captivating environments, compelling narratives, and unique characters of the early Ratchet & Clank games sparked my love for video games and inspired me to pursue a career in Game Art.

Do you have any industry experience? If so, please give a concise explanation of the experience.
While I haven't had any direct experience working within the industry as of yet, I have attended numerous gaming events and talks where I have connected with members of the industry and gained valuable advice on how to start my career in the industry and what to expect.
How would you describe your contribution to your group project?
In our project, 'The Deserter', my role was Prop Artist. The project took a lot of inspiration from the art style of Star Wars Jedi, Destiny, and The Creator. As a part of my role, it was my responsibility to follow the art direction to make sure my props were consistent in style and worked alongside assets created by my teammates to look great in the scene.
What lessons did you learn from undertaking your project that you'll take with you into your career?
Looking back on my project, one of the most valuable lessons I've learned is how important it is to be confident in my abilities and the value of my work. I often felt doubtful of my work and underestimated what I could achieve. However, as I progressed further into the project, creating more assets and solving the various problems I was faced with, I realised the harsh impact these doubts had on my performance and progress.
What would your ideal first role in the industry be?
I would love to start my journey in the industry as a 3D Prop and/or Hard Surface Artist in a medium/large-sized studio. I have enjoyed prop art during my time at Escape Studios and this role would allow me to pursue my love for prop art while giving me the opportunity to continue to expand and strengthen my skills in 3D modelling and texturing software to create amazing assets.
What's an achievement from the past 3 years that you're proud of?
Throughout the last 3 years, I have been amazed at how much my 3D modelling and texturing skills have improved since my first year at Escape Studios. I have learned so much about my artistic abilities and the importance of teamwork and communication that I will always carry with me into future projects and career opportunities. I am also grateful and proud of the many friends I have made along the way.
